PADI OPEN WATER DIVER - 4 Days

This is the second level of Diver certification. On completion you are licensed to dive at any PADI Dive Centre Worldwide to a maximum recommended depth of 18m. The course is run over 4 days.

The program involves theory knowledge development through use of a student manual in conjunction with instructor presentations, DVDs, quizzes and a final exam which is generally run in the following order:

Day one involves one confined water dive with basic skills in the morning and your first open water dive in the afternoon.

Day two involves two more shallow water dives, where you'll learn many more skills necessary to dive with confidence, gaining further mastery of buoyancy control and more safety and emergency procedures.

Day three sees your second open water dive in the morning and the last of the confined water sessions in the afternoon with some fun skills and on day four you'll do the remaining 2 open water dives.

The theory knowledge development sessions, DVD's, quizzes and final exam are carried out in between diving sessions.

After successfully completing the Open Water course, you'll take away your training log book, to record all your diving education and accomplishments up to the highest level of Master Scuba Diver.
